Household Account
A household account groups a small number of semi-trusted individuals — typically family or housemates — under one shared subscription or account, while still distinguishing each member through their own profile, preferences, and often their own distinct level of access. This differs from both a fully individual account, which assumes one person, and full account-sharing, which collapses everyone into a single undifferentiated identity with no way to tell members apart.
The authorization design challenge is specific to this middle ground: members are trusted enough to share the underlying resource, but not necessarily trusted equally with every capability the account has — a parent and a child sharing a household account are a common example where the shared resource is genuinely shared while individual capabilities still need to differ.
